Dental CT Scanners

Process at a Glance

  • Register your training and apply for a facility permit with the College.

  • Obtain approval from the Director of X-Ray Safety at the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to install the dental CT scanner.

  • Obtain letter of designation.

  • Within six months, fulfill the requirement for an annual facility permit. This includes providing the College with specified written information and successfully completing an on-site inspection of the facility to confirm that it is in full compliance with all aspects of the Standard.

  • Submit letter of approval or letter of designation to the College to obtain a provisional permit.

  • Ensure that dental CT scanner passes all acceptance tests and that on-site training has been obtained prior to use.
